Who is Vik Ingram
Hey there! I'm Vitalijs “Vik Ingram” Golovanovs. I'm a YouTube producer by day, creator and songwriter by night, and also a survivor of both success and burnout. Growing up in post-Soviet Latvia with limited financial resources and watching my favorite musicians on TV it seemed impossible to ever become like them. But my love for music never faltered, and I taught myself to play guitar and formed a band that gained recognition in the local music scene of Riga.
As technology evolved, I saw an opportunity to share my music and creativity with the world through YouTube. With hard work, determination, some luck, and a talented team (props to Serzh and Stas), in 2010 I founded and raised the YouTube project “This is Horosho” (This is Good), which became the first-ever Latvian channel to reach 1,000,000 subscribers and the second such channel on all of Russian-speaking YouTube. Today, the channel has 6,000,000 subscribers and over 1,500,000,000 views. Yes, you read that right, it's 1.5 billion views - not a typo.
With great success came overwhelming pressure, leading to the infamous YouTube Burnout™. And when our revenue was devastated by the Adpocalypse™ and the 2014 Crimean war, I faced even greater challenges. It’s not easy to care for a team of 20+ employees when your revenue gets cut 4-5 fold. Ultimately, we had to close “This is Horosho” in its former format.
But I refused to give up. After exiting “This is Horosho”, the very project that I created, and recovering from burnout, I went independent and immersed myself in studying YouTube and modern media, learning every skill from filming, editing, and lighting to creative writing and branding. Essentially, I reverse-engineered my initial success with “This is Horosho” and other projects from that era, using my experiences to become both a better producer and better creator.

Now, my mission is to help fellow independent creators of all levels, from beginners to hardcore pros, to improve their media careers and achieve greater success, revenue, and most importantly, happiness. My recent successes in this field include Irene's Restoration, a DIY channel about old doll restoration that gained 300k views in its first month on an empty channel. And Zloy Kot, a channel about exploring abandoned buildings, whose videos were averaging around 30,000 views before I got involved. After working together, we have videos gaining over 1,000,000 views on a regular basis.
I've experienced success, setbacks, and learned valuable lessons along the way. Now, I want to inspire and empower you to achieve your goals without facing the same obstacles. Whether you're just starting out or already established, there's always a way forward towards what you define as success. Let me help you find it.
